| CEDAREX 100A: DEVELOPED BY SCIENTISTS, LOVED BY HOMEOWNERS
A new cedar roof is a sight to behold. Pristine, natural, vivid, strong - but it isn't going to last a lifetime without a little help.
At CedarEx™, in the early years of our company, we used standard commercially-available cedar roofing treatments on any roof we restored or installed from scratch, as a means of giving the roofing material a little extra protection from the elements, and adding years to the life of the installation, but it wasn't long before we began to notice an uncomfortable truth - commercial products just weren't doing the job.
And because we're not a company that settles for anything less for our customers than we'd expect for our own homes, we did something about it.
In conjunction with the National Research Council of Canada, we developed a roofing treatment that is made for cedar and only cedar, and with chemical compounds that are environmentally friendly, provide extra protection against the elements, retain color, and don't break the budget.
We developed CedarEx™ 100A.
CEDAREX 100A provides the following advantages over every other roof coating:
Moisture Block: A damp roof is a roof that will rot, so Cedarex 100A keeps the moisture out.
Permeability: While keeping dampness out, it's also important to allow internal moisture to go free. CedarEx does.
Elastomeric Properties: As your shakes and shingles expand and contract with weather, CedarEx expands with them.
Ultraviolet (UV) Block: Reduces the damaging greying effect of sunlight by keeping light out.
Preservative: Using micro-biocides, CedarEx keeps microbes at bay, preventing rotting.
Moss Control: Reduces mature moss clump formation by around 80%.
Fire Retardancy: CedarEx 100A is non-flammable, unlike many other roof treatment products.
Durability: So durable, in fact, it allows for a doubling of the standard treatment warranty.
Stability and Consistency: Our production process follows strict specifications, ensuring quality.
Colour: Due to the non-opaque nature of CedarEx, we can tint it with any colour you like.
Water-Based: Unlike many oil-based products, CedarEx 100A doesn't break down or wash out.
Proper Application: A 5 gallon pail covers a 500 sq. ft. roof to maximum levels of protection.
Environmentally Sound: CedarEx is non-carcinogenic, very mild, and won't harm plants or animals.

| CEDAREX PRESERVATIVE AND ADDITIVE PRODUCTS
When you're looking for a shorter term oil-based preservative, you really can't go past CedarEx Oil Preservative. Just as with the CedarEx 100A, our oil-based products work they way they're supposed to - and are applied to industry-best standards.
If you're looking for extra roof protection, be sure to ask about our CedarEx Moss Inhibitor. This additive is a supplement to CedarEx 100A roof treatment, which gives you top notch protection for years without the need for zinc strips. Moss Inhibitor does come with a small added cost, but you simply can't match the protection it brings with any commercial product that we know of.
